Weather and Rain Cancellation Policy
A note about rain cancellations:
Do not worry at all, our Weather and Rain Cancellation policy has you covered. If we can not get you out on your tour, due to weather, we will either refund or reschedule(your choice) with ZERO fees.
First things first… do not watch the weather all day. From March to October, the weather report os wrong 80% of the time. If it says 40-60% chance of rain, that is a normal day and all that means is it “may” rain somewhere between Ridgeland and Hilton Head, OR NOT! Our recommendation is to get outside, bring a hat and light rain coat, and have some fun. Thats why we are all here right? Lastly, some of the BEST TOURS we have ever had, are just after a rain…it wakes things up.
We wait until the time of departure, of the scheduled boat tour to make a decision. Most rain and thunderstorms pass by very quickly here on the Island so if, for example, it is raining at the time of your tour, we may just need 10min to let it pass.
We make cancellation decisions based on actual weather and not on weather forecasts. Nearly every afternoon in Hilton Head there is a forecast of a possibility of showers so if we canceled because of these forecasts, we would have to cancel nearly every afternoon boat tour. We will not put you in a dangerous situation but a cloudy day or a day that rain happens prior to the tour is not a cancellation reason.
All boat tours have a 48-hour cancellation policy which is of course subject to weather. If it is raining at the time of your tour, and we make a decision to not depart, you will not be charged, and you can either reschedule for another day, or get a refund. No Stress!
